The Run.
Calgary Police Classic
Real, physical, purpose-driven content around the race. The through-line: an operator who shows up and does hard things, for a cause that matters. Authentic over polished, that is what actually attracts sponsors over time.
Date Sept 19, 2026
Distance [half / 8K]
Cause Victims of crime + fallen-officer families
Format Vertical 9:16
The story
Why this matters
One thread ties every post: discipline, comeback, purpose. You are not "doing a fun run", you are training for something hard and running it for people who need it. Keep the tone grounded and personal. Let the cause carry the weight, not hype.
Signature look = same grade, same feel every time, so a brand starts to recognize you. Consistency beats effects.
Phase 1 · Before
Now → Sept 18 — plant the story
Shoot
- A raw training clip (rope, run, or drills) — no polish, real sweat
- One piece to camera: why you are running it + the cause, 20–30 sec
- The bib / registration confirmation shot when it arrives

Option ASigned up for the Calgary Police Classic. [distance], Sept 19. Running it for the families behind the badge. Training starts now.
Option BNo shortcuts. Just showing up every morning until race day. [distance] on Sept 19, for a cause I do not take lightly. Come with me.
Cadence: 1–2 posts this week, 1–2 next week. Build the arc, do not dump it all at once.
Phase 2 · Race day
Sept 19 — the hero content
Shoot (get a friend to film + capture more than you need)
- Morning-of: gear laid out, bib on, sunrise energy — 2–3 quick clips
- Start line: the nerves + the crowd
- On-course: a few running clips (hand-held or a chest mount)
- The finish line cross — this is THE shot, make sure someone films it
- The medal in hand, the breath after
Captions
Story / in-the-momentDone. [distance] for the families behind the badge. Bodies remember what the mind tries to quit on.
Cadence: live story sequence during the day + one hero Reel/post after you cross.
Phase 3 · After
Sept 20–22 — reflection + payoff
Shoot
- A calm reflection to camera: what the run + the cause meant
- The medal / receipt of the work
Caption
ReflectiveRan [distance] for people I will never meet. That is the point. You build, you secure, you show up — for others. Onto the next hard thing.
Cadence: one reflective Reel/post. This is where you subtly tie the run back to who you are: the operator who does hard things on purpose.
The long game
The sponsorship seed
- Do not chase brands — attract them by being consistently premium, authentic, and disciplined
- Leave clean visual space in your shots — that is where a brand can sit later
- Same signature grade + feel every time so you become recognizable
- Purpose (running for a cause) is exactly what modern brands want to be next to
Practical
- Film everything vertical (9:16), natural light where you can
- Capture way more than you need — you cut down later
- Send me the raw clips and I cut the Reels around this plan
